A Time of Cowboys and Hippies
When Hippies Were Heroes Too - A history lesson of cowboys, hippies, and *democide. Click the image for the short read and accompanying music videos.
Back not too long ago,… (Scroll just below this first image to continue)
Back not too long ago, there were those with flowers in their long hair, who desired justice and peace. These souls, too, were chastised, beaten and killed for standing against war and oppression. Many looked upon these hippies as a scourge then, and some still do - but at least like the Bundy family, the Finicum family and others, they stood up. Even back then, they had more courage than most do now. They stood in front of loaded guns while passing out flowers and chanting for peace.
Where are all our heroes today? Surely there are more than just those who stood at Bunkerville Nevada, Burns Oregon, or Kent State, in Ohio.
Where are our heroes now?
Now, like then, some stand up against what they see as wrong. Now, like then, governments entrusted to ensure preservation of our our rights, have instead, incarcerated or killed innocent people. Now like then, good people standing for justice and liberty are chastised and lied about so our government can justify their pathetic villainous acts, and foment division. Now, like then, there is a populace who instead of even looking at the viewpoint of those who stand up, shout kill the hippies, kill the cowboys!
Don’t think history repeats itself within a lifetime, think again. Look not only at those who lied dead on the ground at Kent State University, but too, at a cowboy murdered with his hands up in the air, near Burns, Oregon.
Not bad enough for you yet? Watch as Americans, perhaps you or I, are imprisoned, or killed simply because of our religious beliefs, because our skin is lighter or darker than others, or because we write articles such as this. Pay attention to the world for just a moment, and you will see that what I am saying, is happening right now. How long will it take for us to stop pretending, and start saving our own lives? Will we passively sit by as evil marches us into World War III, the New World Order, forced to be subjects to artificial intelligence and into extinction? How long until we act to save the lives of our children, and our own lives? How long?
History, like time, cares not for our considerations, our worries, or the lack thereof. History, like time, marches on as we the living, fall to the wayside. Unlike time, though, history can be altered during the living and making of it. This world we live in, is in our hands. Like those long-haired hippy-freaks, and those red-necked cowboys, we can stand up too, and we can alter the course of our country, our society, and history itself. I guess I should clarify one aspect of this writing, and that is, who “we” are. We, is you. We, is me, and we, are us. We, is not them, nor is it someone else. You and me, we must stand up to make things change, or it won’t because, WE won’t.
We are here now for a reason, and we must embrace that reason, and act. If we don’t, others will determine our lives; our loves, our futures, whether we can buy or sell, and even whether we live or die. You cowboys and hippies, you Americans, and everyone else, stand up now, and be the change we need. Societies, nor the world is at fault here, as it is we who make up our societies, and it is we, who are the world. ~ I Am - Wisdom
Democide: “The murder of any person or people by a government, including genocide, politicide, and mass murder.”
Now, it’s time for a little “democide” history by music.
First, the song, “Ohio”, performed by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, after the murders at Kent State University.
Next, the song, “The Road Less Traveled”, sung by George Strait, after the murder of a cowboy, hands up in the air, near Burns, Oregon.
