This writing is to offer hope to the lonely, those who feel forgotten, and to those who believe love has passed them by, or who have lost.
During our lives most of us are driven to connect with someone special, our life’s mate. We are so compelled that we in many cases force round pegs into square holes. Through our desperation, we many times create relationships that require an immense amount of work. You may remember someone telling you, “You have to work at marriage.” While this is somewhat true, it in more cases than not is used to convey to people that all relationships require tremendous work for people to be happy. I am sure in the lives of square pegs and round holes, this sentiment may be factual in more relationships than not.
I am here to tell you, listen to your heart and not always to the advice of others within their sad forced relationships. You may be asking why you should listen to my advice when I just said to listen to your heart. That would be a good question. Sometimes in life, we meet people who have traveled farther than us or are just a tad bit ahead of us in very similar journeys. Sometimes we meet those who look at life differently and walk their paths and not the paths laid out by others. I am one such person. I have traveled my journey from my unique perspective and I have worked damned hard at maintaining and nurturing several relationships and a 30 year marriage. Through many trial and error relations and sticking with a marriage of ups, downs, mistakes and joy, I have learned lessons that most can benefit from.
I am not saying I am a love guru or a relationship expert, but I have experienced both sides of these life matters. I have spent time working hard to make relationships work and I have enjoyed what it is to find that “one” person, my soulmate, my twin flame. So, what is the difference between working hard and hardly working when it comes to relationships? Simply put, one is a round peg connecting with a round hole and the other is trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. One simply works and the other requires much work. It is sort of like finding a talent that you are just good at compared to working at something you are determined to make work. While both can be wonderful relationships, one requires much less effort and just happens. How do I know this? I know this because I’ve lived both and now know the difference between the two. One is like learning how to weld while the other is just breathing. Both create wonderful lives, but one happens from a breath of air.
Remember to Breathe
My relationship now is like breathing. It is simple, connected without effort, and frankly, easy. Yes, I know even the easiest of things requires effort at times, but I am telling you, there is a difference between working to love and simply loving. Know this, there are true fits in life. They rarely happen when we want them to happen and many times they occur when we least expect them. Be patient, don’t give up or give in. Your journeys will collide when that time and both of you are ready to arrive. If you are so desperate, you will end up working really hard to make something work that isn’t a natural match. While you can have a long loving relationship, it rarely will be the natural one that you were searching for.
Ask yourself this. Why do I feel so driven to be in a relationship? Is it because those around me are in relationships or are getting married. Is it because you believe sex comes with dating or marriage? Is it because you are lonely or scared and believe you need a partner to survive or thrive? Or, could it be that you are looking for that match, your soulmate, or your twin flame, that “one” who completes you? If your desire is driven by any of the above, you may end up living to work at love. The moment however that you find your other half who just fits like an old glove, who completes your thoughts, or who as you are playing with a clothes pen a 1000 miles away, are as well; you will know the difference between working for love and living love.
Twin Flame Spiritual Embrace
All relationships will encounter ups and downs, trials and tribulations, because we grow differently, in different directions and at differing speeds. The difference is, when we meet our twin, our soul mate, the spiritual passion and intensity we feel is beyond anything experienced physically. How do I know this? Because I am living it right now. It does take work, but it’s a different kind of work and truth be told, it doesn’t feel like work. Truth be told, it feels like spiritual foreplay that I never knew existed and honestly, I can’t find the words to tell you how it feels, because it is beyond what I have ever experienced.
Sadly, it is something you may only know when you experience it, but rarely until. For me and my twin flame, it took our separate journeys, lessons learned, and the grace of God to enable us to find each other again. For me, my desire for a relationship was the looking for my spiritual other half, which I was not ready for until I had grown and learned what I needed to learn. Even in these spiritual relations, we sometimes must separate to learn and grow through individual life lessons. Rarely do we learn all from just one in our lives, so be patient. Your twin flame exists. They are out there and like you, are growing and learning. Remain faithful to yourself and that splinter in your mind. When you two are ready to connect again, it will happen.
Now for those who have lost their soulmate, their twin, know that they have moved where they need to be. They are only gone from physical sight, but will always be connected spiritually with you. Both they and you are energetic spirits, not lumps of flesh, so your separation will be only and truly within a blink of an eye. You on the other hand, are here now in this physical realm because you have something else to learn or someone else to help and teach. Through your tears, keep learning, keep helping and keep teaching. This separation is nothing more than your partner going to work while you stay at home. Let them do what they must do and remain true to what you must do. Remember, it’s just a blink of an eye.
In the mean time, be kind, share joy and happiness, learn, teach and always remain true to yourselves. To do otherwise will be to create discord and will prolong your lessons and the separation from your other half, yourself. Be faithful, live, love, and be kind to yourselves. ~ I Am - Wisdom

Love
Oh what a subject. What an all encompassing, bittersweet, heartfelt, completely satisfying and tumultuous part of our lives. This little four letter word we use to describe a gigantic but fleeting part of our lives has been talked about, sung about, revered, reviled, prayed for, pontificated over, lauded, learned, killed over, joked about, fancied, damn…

Love this Mark and although I am just reading it I have kept all of your messages in a folder. This one speaks to me so profoundly and came just when needed most.
