When We Are Beautiful...
Click the beautiful image to read. Oh, there are several pictures used to highlight the point that we determine if our lives and our world are beautiful or ugly.
When we are beautiful, we are so unimaginably beautiful.
When we are beautiful, we are so unimaginably beautiful. There are moments in our lives when we are beautiful, innocent, and pure beyond imagination. These moments are as precious and joyful as they are fleeting. Moments like these are not limited to a few but can be experienced and enjoyed by all.
We are never too old to create beautiful moments in our lives. Start Living!
Even those with cold hard hearts can live these moments if they so choose. Beautiful moments are at every turn in our lives, but we must want them. As these moments are only for those who pause long enough to see or create them, they only exist if we allow them into our lives.
Sadly, when we are ugly, we are unspeakably ugly.
Before I add any more unspeakably ugly images, I want to tell you this story.
There is an old tale of two wolves who reside within each of us.
One evening, an elderly Cherokee brave told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.
He said, “My son, the battle is between two ‘wolves’ inside us all.
One is evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
The other is good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.”
The grandson thought about this for a moment and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf wins?”
The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one that you feed."
As far as adding more ugly pictures, we won’t feed that wolf today.
There is a reason our lives are filled with illness, loneliness, pain, and sorrow. We feed our ugly wolf more than we do our beautiful wolf.
Take a moment, and honestly answer these questions. Which wolf within you do you feed the most? Is it the wolf who will make your life better or eventually make it worse? How much time do you spend feeding the beautiful wolf? Do you feed it once a week or every day? Only you know the answers to these questions, and only you can decide from this point forward, which wolf you will feed, and how often.
There is no limit as to how much you can feed either of these wolves. Which one grows within each of us depends on us. If we are to survive this world of ugliness, we all must start feeding the beautiful wolves or we will be consumed by the ugly. For the sake of you, of all, start focusing on feeding your beauty every minute of every day. When you find yourself beginning to feed the ugly wolf, remember that it will not only bite others, but one day will come back to bite you.
