Which Shoes Do You Wear

So, which shoes do you wear? What hat do you put on?
When you go to work, what part of you do you give? Do you do your eight hours and go home? Do you do enough to get by, or do you give it your all? What is your all? Is your all, all that can be given here in this world of flesh, or is your all of the realm of God?
Each day most of us whore ourselves out for the almighty dollar, the drachma, the yen, the ruble, the peso, the euro, or this currency or that. The point is, how much of you do you give for the bigger television, that latest version of a phone, the bigger boat, that airplane, or that house in the right neighborhood? No, the question is, how much of you do you give and to what do you give yourself?
There is only one thing to give yourself to, and that is you and your communion with God. Cell phones, clothes, televisions, boats, airplanes or homes are of this world, and from dust to dust they become. In your end days, you will cease to exist here, with maybe a memory for a generation, maybe two. Then, you will be nothing more than perhaps a mere thought, or a poor joke as time goes by. Yes, they may remember your art, your music, your photograph, your beautiful body, or a name on a building, but you, you are gone and forgotten.
When you are ready to be more than just that vessel you cherish, look beyond what the world adores, more than your car, your home or your fading good looks. Become the infinite being you are and your connection with the universe, with God, the highest of perspectives. For you are infinite, beyond definition and description, and are everything possible beyond desire and imagination. You see, you are everything God has manifested but only what you allow yourself to be. So, cast your ego aside. Cast aside the limits of man and reach for the shoes God placed on your doorstep, for you are deserving of these shoes, if only you choose to put them on. ~ I Am - Wisdom
