You Wear It Well - Text
When we look into the eyes of others, or self, and we are not absorbed in ego, it is easy to see the stories being told. Truly, we tell our joys our anger, our sorrows and tragedies quite well. We tell our story, every day. Yes, we too hide our tales, or at least we try, but even then, our face, specifically our eyes reveal what we live. Everyday, we tell the story of us, worthy stories, and too, of our worthlessness. Deny, or not, we know that which we try to hide, be it through false smiles, or lies we spin to justify the burdens we carry.
What many, if not most will argue for, is their victimhood, not their responsibility. We either bolster up to prove our “strength”, or through our faces or tales we tell, elicit sympathetic understanding from others. Sometimes, however, when we are truly seen, or we are in the comfort of a non-judgmental person, we release our sequestered emotions. I tell you true, only through the truth of us, the dropping of our masks that hide our fears and pain, will we ever speak the truth that sets us free. I know it is hard, for I too have lived and justified the lies of me, just as you live and justify the lies of you.
Now, some, maybe you, are telling yourselves that I am speaking about someone else, but you know the stories you hide and the stories you tell. Not to delve too deep into the bible, but the fig leaves we use to hide ourselves, our spiritual nakedness, are plentiful. If you are truthful, you will see yours as well.
Until each of us release all that we hide ourselves with, our faith, our things, our clothing, titles, our actions, etc., we, forever will be nothing more than liars to ourselves. These lies we spin, have nothing to do with others, though we delusionally tell ourselves, under our breath, that we want others to think highly of us. This has only to do with you or I believing we are inadequate, unworthy, and less than we are.
You cannot be more precious, more worthy than in the creation, the image of God. Only you ascribe to notions that you need to be this or that, have that or this, or be relevant by title, gold, or power. In these things, you relegate yourself to nothing more than the lies you tell as truths, in your fear of not being worthy. You do this because you believe what the world has told you, that you need something, anything or everything to be of value - those lies that you now tell yourself in all that you do to feel relevant and worthy. Some, maybe you, craft excuses, maladies or victimhood so as to justify not having or being what others have said you should be or have.
To be blunt, Fuck Them! To be even more blunt, Fuck You for believing anyone but you! It is not someone else that chains you, but you. You, through believing the deceptions of the worldly or others’ perspectives, and accepting those viewpoints, have become your own jailor in your illusory prison.
Believe it or not, you can and must do something about your condition, or not, for you have the power to change everything, or not. You see, you are magnificent, vast and powerful. You are the most beautiful imagining God ever had. You are the entire image and essence of God.
It is time to peak around the crafted corners you hide behind, and see you as precious and perfect, just as you were imagined. This may be hard, for you will have to drop your egoic fig leaves and stand spiritually naked in front of you, with nothing to hide behind. Believe me, this part is hard, for you will have to be responsible for you and all that you have done, or not done. However, you are infinite and precious, so, no harm can come to you, for you now, will live the perfect essence of you - and you are beautiful and precious. (Harm is something we perceive, something we agree to. In that, our choice, we are harmed. However, being infinite, we are well. But, that is seen on the other side of the lies of the finite.)
Today, drop one thing you use to justify your situation, just one thing. You need do nothing more than not justify. What others think, is their burden, not yours, unless of course you choose to carry their baggage. You must carry yours, until you and you alone decide to let all of those lies go - and for others, they must carry theirs, until they release the chains that bind them. As you elect to drop other fig leaves - all that you have used to be worthy - you will come to know of your true worth.
Today is the day to return to your essence, that infinite image of God.
