Cults of Control

I seem to be addressing questions and comments that have little meaning, at least to me. But, here we go. (Addendum: Since this writing, many things have and are happening, some dark, dire and dastardly things, which makes the following question and response, relevant now. I want to add this as well, these times are not only dark, but filled with everything that brings the light, so this too is a wondrously beautiful time. These two apparently opposite points of view are exactly the livingness that enables us to know that simple changes in perspective, alters our perceptions. This is why there is an inhale and then an exhale, and up and down, a right and wrong, singular point within the duality.)
This note is in response to the following question.
“If you are a member of a cult, dangerous or not, would you want to know?
Could you accept the truth or is ignorance bliss?”

Cult: a system of veneration and devotion directed toward a particular figure or object.
a relatively small group of people having beliefs or practices regarded by others as strange or sinister. Synonyms: sect, denomination, group, movement, church, persuasion, body, faction.
a misplaced or excessive admiration for a particular person or thing.
Expounding on the above definitions, look at how we as individuals within our societies, elevate or denigrate others outside of ourselves. Example, kings, presidents, those with labels and titles, people with contrived status i.e., doctors, lawyers, institutionalized educational diplomas, anything and everything that puts some in their relegated places, while “elevating” the worth of those deluded in their status-symbolism.
Know this, you, high or low, need nothing to be the most precious idea God ever had. You, without anything added, are of the most high. In God, you are perfect and precious. The more you add, the less you are. Stop trying to raise yourself with external things and ideals. Just be you, God’s best idea.
Cult is a word with a judgmental connotation, which creates fear and hatred, which in turn enables control by those who label. Christianity was deemed a cult, as have been other religions and belief systems by those who live in fear, or by those profiting from fear. To highlight this concept a bit more, the CIA at one time coined (invented) the term, “conspiracy theory” to minimalize and marginalize, and denigrate those who were pointing out governmental covert agendas and evils. And, it worked and still does today, even when different words are bantered around, e.g., racist, anti-Semite, Christian, Muslim, Jew, Nazi, chink, nigger, wop, and a thousand other dehumanizing, degodifying disparagements. Stop being played!!
Marginalize: To relegate (something, especially a topic or a group of people) to the margins or to a lower limit, to discredit them and their beingness.
Minimize or Minimalize: To make (something) as small or as insignificant as possible.
Degodify: The antonym or opposite of "godify" (to make divine or treat as a god), is demoralize or humanize, to segregate and separate from God.
Maybe, they all, each and every religion and government, every group of sports fanatics, every narcissist, etc., are "cults", for they too profit and control from fear, hatred and division.
This is why accepting answers from any religion or government, person, place or thing is deceiving. The truth lies within and all around us, not within brick and mortar, not in this sect or that, not in money, nor contrived beliefs and edicts by governments, nor by any entities who separate and imprison to control, while purporting to make us free.
If anyone is defining freedom, they are misguided at best, and manipulative at worst. See, “Freedom Does Not Behave” below.
If we are talking about all entities who control and label, then maybe we are on the same page, but then, we are talking all forms of government, every economic system in use, every philosophy, religion, and everything and everyone who divides and that does not allow one to free themselves from the web in which we reside. Ask the average American or any other nationalized people, and they will, or would have rallied in the thinking they are free, which fits nicely inside the statement - "Not everyone realizes what they’re involved in until they see it from the outside."
What we need resides within each of us, dormant and self-hidden, denied, until we allow ourselves to see and accept it. That which resides within each of us, is the Kingdom of God, All That We Are.
There are larger questions to be asked, with more fruitful and substantive answers, so let’s not loose ourselves in the devil’s distractions.
