The Choice of Duality
(I have used images to help convey, but below each image is more of the writing, so keep scrolling down.)
From another discussion on another morning, over a cup of coffee, I saw this meme about duality, so I decided to share both that meme and the words that came to me. The sad part, no, the beautiful part is the duality that entraps us, too, sets us free in the singularity of its self, the dichotomy in which we currently exist.
How we experience duality is our choice, which is why we have the gift of choice. Anytime we want to stop judgment, condemnation and relinquish our fears, we can. Through our first act of choosing differently and our subsequent daily practice and reaffirmation, we can turn old trained human habits into habits of the soul.
How we see dark in light, or the good in the bad, is to change our perspective. This is very simple, but we must grow out of ego and through the cognitive dissonance that accompanies our change.
Yes there are bad choices that we make, or are they actually good, Hmmmm??? Yes, we can sin, but in the change of our perspective and in our knowing that from the highest perspective, all is as it should be, there is only the journey and in that journey to the all, to God, there is no good or bad, dark or light, just our arrival or not, at ourselves and God.
Our cognitive change from this universe, this realm to a different plane, our ascension in other words, is accomplished by shedding third dimension attributes such as duality. In each realm, there are governing laws that its inhabitants live by and while they are indisputable, our inhabitance is not.
How long we stay in a particular realm or universe, or our perception, is determined by our choices to allow, or disallow.
Such is the beauty of our gift of choice, for we determine all that is our existence. ;)
Lastly, I leave you with this; There must be duality, for in that, infinity exists. If we were of one perspective only, all would be finite. So, there is a dichotomy, a duality in our singularity, and in this being of different and many facets, we are all things. We are, duality wise, infinite, yet one.

Here is a brief but fruitful discussion that occurred after I posted the above words, so I must include it within this writing.
Lupita - But isn't what we strive for non-duality? We want to be rid of the dual factions that are separators.
Mark - That is like saying we want to rid ourselves of ego. Our singularity is brought forth within the duality of our existence. Through the duality, there is a singularity, (from two become one and from one, two exist) the singularity made of the duality. Yes, we want and must rid our addition to duality, but at the same time, we must see that, that duality is in direct resonance to our being one. It is an awesome paradox. I love the puzzle we are, Lupita!!! ♥ Annnnnndddd, there are not just two facets (a duality), but infinite facets. It is the juice, behind our Infinincy.
Lupita - Mark Bell, but don’t we want to rid ourselves of ego?
Mark - No, not at all. We need to understand that like duality, ego is part of our singularity, but not the whole. We are, through all that we accept or deny, either infinite or finite. Like emotions, we are to experience them, and through experiencing them, we don't live within them. It is like being, "In the World", but not being, "Of the World." Think of it like this; We want our car to move down the road, but we are the driver, not the car. Ego, is a part of us, but not the creator, the driver. Just like an arm is a part, but not the whole.
Lupita - Mark Bell, so then do we have levels of ego. A big ego versus a small ego? If we must have ego to be singular? And to what degree must we have it then?
Mark - Ahhhhhh. Ego is ego, but our living within it or outside it, that is where we start judging what we call size. Like, the sun is setting or rising - Ahh, but the sun does not set, nor does it rise. It is our perception of the event that determines how we label it.
Lupita - Got it.
Lupita - Mark Bell, then I am speaking of attachment not ego.
Mark - Bada B.I.N.G.O.!
